The "antique" paint gave the piece a vintage or heirloom apperance that blended perfectly with the other pieces in the room. Simple details such as the arch in the opening for the shelving just added to the antique feel. Assembling took a while because it had about 100 screws but everything was well marked. It was well worth the effort and I am very happy with this purchase. This company has excellent customer service. The first delivery I had to refuse due to damage but the replacement was expedited and delivered quickly and in perfect condition. - Melissa Mc C
